Kifaru means “Rhinoceros” in Swahili, the language of their native land, common in much of Africa. The choice of Rhino as a symbol for the company -which they believe this animal has many similarities with their products.

Kifaru compares and draws similarities to the Rhinoceros:
Robustness and performance and is known to all the grandeur and solidity of this creature who, despite being the second largest land mammal only elephant, has not only an amazing agility, but also a very high speed despite the size Solidity combined with high performance is thus the first of the company’s goals.
Determination and resourcefulness when a rhinoceros is endangered, the defense strategy is not adopting the escape, which could be successfully implemented thanks to the talents of speed and agility, but the front office at the aggressor, showing a courage and a determination is not common Established in the year of the recession of 2008, Kifaru wants to aim even in the marine industry – which has given much satisfaction to its members in the past – believes that the market will react positively if you still offers the right product.
Fortune From ancient times the horn is associated all’augurio of good luck and is a symbol of fertility, virility and as a weapon, including force. Clearly, then, like carry a horn is a way to appease these virtues and these benefits The Kifaru, namely the African rhinoceros, differs from his “cousin” India mainly for the presence of two horns on the snout instead of one. Then double horn for a double good luck and for those who will carry our boats and for those who will use it.
Finally for those who still see far our “mascot” from the world of boats, we are keen to add that the Rhino is also a great swimmer! We therefore hope that the excellent sense of smell Rhinoceros guide us on track.

Roberto Mancini has always been a passionate owner. Now he founds this company from passion to the yachts and thus fore commissions the first Kifaru model the 63 Askari for himself. The name Askari comes from the Swahili name for tick bird, which are often found sitting along the backs of rhinoceros.

The 63 Kifaru continues the long standing collaboration of the Sarti family with renowned designer Luca Dini, and is built entirely of aluminium. Luca Dini presented an original concept uniting day boat walk around feel spaces on the aft deck, with the comfort associated of a yacht. The lines are minimal in all parts from the hull, to the deck parts and radar arch.

Inside the 63′ Askari it has a two cabin two heads interior, with a lower saloon and galley. Still the interior being the Askari built of alloy can be fully customized with no structural restrains, as is with fiberglass boats. Performance wise the first Kifaru can be equipped with six different engine choices from twin 1100hp MAN up to 1600hp MTU, with propulsion going from traditional shaft line to the more performing surface drives. Speeds are impressive with the first delivery powered with only twin 1100hp MAN plus surface drives reaching forty knots wide open throttle, and 34 knots cruise. Minimum planning speed is also good with the hop being achieved on 14 knots.

As a company providing luxury amenities for it’s members, Privé constantly looks for the type of products members and reader will enjoy. Kifaru Yachts is exactly that.
