Combining innovation and technology the Dutch based Shipyard “Jongert” has designed in cooperation with Gloss Design (IT) with innovative naval architecture by the renowned Dutch company Van Oossanen & Associates. The Ghost Yachts G180V.
The Jongert Shipyard ensures a smooth and swift construction process which meets the highest Dutch quality standards.
Based on the Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) principal, Ghost Yachts and design Partner Gloss Design developed an innovative high performance yacht with a sleek and sophisticated appearance that is not afraid to show off its brawn.
Meeting the 500GT size requirements proved to be an interesting and challenging operation. The Ghost G180V is unusually long for a 500GT yacht so the design had be carefully shaped and calculated to stay within the volume parameters. The deck layout benefits from the yacht’s length, offering opulent exterior spaces. Whether it’s alfresco dining or relaxed sunbathing, the decks provide plenty of space for comfortable outdoor living. The Ghost G180V’s interior offers spacious accommodations for ten guests. The arrangement shows a full beam master’s loft with balconies on the forward main deck and four guest cabins on the lower deck. The crew accommodations are located forward and provide comfortable quarters for eight crew members. The Captain’s cabin is conveniently located on the upper deck, directly connected to the stylish and light flooded Sky-Bridge.
The main salon and dining area have an open plan layout offering unobstructed views throughout the room while the generous windows keep the guests connected to the surroundings. A lounge area with a bar is located on the upper deck. Both the main salon and the upper lounge are connected to the aft decks by large sliding doors. A combined tender storage and beach club finalise the guest amenities with a day-head, showers and plenty of space for watertoys, an optional steam room, sauna, diving station or additional bar area.
The yacht’s sporty looks are supported by equally impressive performance data. Two MTU 20V engines propel the 370 tons yacht to a 34 knots top speed and a 31 knots cruising speed. An optional Vericor TF50 booster unit with waterjet raises the bar even higher to an astonishing 40 knots. The FDHF hull also provides the option for comfortable cruising at displacement speeds and transatlantic range at a 15 knots passage speed.
