This truly first ever luxury island features the complete Louis Vuitton offering, from men’s to women’s collections, to jewelry it even hosts a unique bookstore. its a complete glass island-building, designed by Safdie Architects as a part of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel development. Designer Peter Marino, who have designed all of the brand’s 12 worldwide maisons, was hired to dress up the interior space of safdie’s glass island. Celebrities from across the world were invited for the grand opening red carpet event on Sept 17th 2011.

This LV store is a one-of-a-kind store as it sits amid the Marina Bay Sands with breathtaking landscape. The interior of the Louis Vuitton Island Maison is nautical-inspired which is completely designed by globally admired architect Peter Marino. Apart from being a shopping spot, customers can also indulge in the art and cultural elements in the retail space. The Maison is made of crystal pavilion that looks amazing at night with special lighting and natural reflection of water.¸

When it comes to shopping, the opulent class goes for a few selected brands to choose its expensive items of liking from. One such brand is Louis Vuitton which is one-stop destination for the rich shopaholics. Now, the French fashion house has inaugurated its latest flagship store in Singapore. This store is not like any other store in a shopping mall, but is in the form of an island at the Marina Bay Sands.

The ground floor of the Island Maison will have entire sections for women’s and men’s shoes, accessories, ready to wear and leather goods. The floor also has the first Travel Room in Asia Pacific that is dedicated to travel luggage and accessories. The ground floor has a private lounge and an outdoor deck for the customers.

The Island is directly linked to the Marina Bay Sands mall by a tunnel that exhibits modern artwork and a bookstore. A spiral staircase will take you to the fine jewelry and timepieces section. The Maison’s special feature is the art gallery that displays the work of world renowned celebrities and designers. Actor Chow Yun Fat’s photography was amongst the first few that were displayed in the gallery. Fat commented:
“Shoppers come here for the brand. Occasionally those interested in art may also come in to take a look. I feel it’s quite a balance between art and shopping.”

Louis Vuitton has 459 stores in 63 countries and Louis Vuitton Island Maison is the 1st Maison in Southeast Asia.
